Commercial Septic Services

Septic tank and system maintenance service must be performed on interceptors regularly. The frequency of septic service will vary depending upon a wide variety of factors, beginning with type of business, volume of business, size of septic tank system, etc. Business owners should check with their local city, county and/or Arizona state agencies for requirements.

Fats, oils, grease, sand or sludge enter our waste water systems from a variety of sources including restaurants, golf courses and car washes. Interceptors remove these substances from the waste water stream to acceptable Arizona septic standards before discharging into a sanitary sewer. These types of materials can block septic tank pipes, cause a sewage backup and foul odor problems, and increase the time and cost of treating the wastes in city sewer systems and waste water treatment plants. “FOG” is the common acronym for fats, oils & grease. These substances can create problems in private systems or in public waste water treatment facilities found in larger cities.

“We have used Paradise Septic’s service for years, beginning with our inspection when our first home was purchased here in Arizona and then for routine maintenance. It’s your honesty, promptness and quality service that keeps us coming back.”

For Your Commercial Septic Tank:

  • The septic tank must be “full” in order to operate (water level should always be just below the outlet or tail pipe)
  • The sewage flowing into the tank determines the nature of the bacteria. No two septic tanks operate exactly the same
  • It is important to keep the balance of the tank by minimizing the amount of soaps, detergents and household cleaners going down the drain. Whenever possible “septic-safe or environmentally-friendly” products are strongly recommended
  • Septic tanks are airtight to provide a hospitable environment that decomposing-bacteria thrive in
  • Every bit of water put into the septic tank must exit the tank. In other words in an efficiently functioning septic system, flushing the toilet causes 5 gallons of water to enter the septic tank and 5 gallons of effluent to flow out of the tank into the leach area
